Colorado Springs--On May 27, Focus on the Family convened a meeting of prominent evangelical leaders and theologians to discuss the issue of Bible translation as it relates to gender.

Over the past two months, significant differences of opinion have been raised concerning the use of "gender-inclusive" language in English Bible translation.

James C. Dobson, Ph.D., called a meeting of concerned individuals at the Focus on the Family headquarters to discuss these issues and seek God's will in their resolution.The following joint statement was issued subsequently by the participants.
